Can he still do it? The polls are tightening but RCP.com still has Obama crushing McCain. But where does RCP get that number? They get it by averaging in polls from political porn mags like Time and Newsweek that show Obama is more popular in the US than Kim Jong Il was in the last popularity poll taken by the Pyongyang Intellegencer. The guys who tried to use fake memos to torpedo Bush in the last election and still haven't acknowledged that they might have made a mistake are running a poll that shows a wide Obama lead. Oh really?

What advocacy group ever took a poll and came out with an answer that showed that their position was unpopular? According to the Sierra Club's poll we are all dying to abandon our cars and take up subsistence agriculture with the help of our animal friends. The Heritage Foundation finds an American population gazing fondly at the Constitution and yearning for a constructionist judiciary. The Tuna Foundation finds that tuna is the most popular fish. The New York Times finds that America is lusting to vote for Obama. Can we believe any of them?

We cant even believe the ones that show a very tight race, the one's that have consistently shown this to be a very tight race with a swing to McCain when Palin appeared on the scene and a swing to Obama when the market crisis erupted. But the numbers in these polls have always returned to an inside-the-margin-of-error squeaker. What does that show? It shows a large group of very soft supporters who are truly conflicted about where they are going to end up.

The frightening economy is a big plus for Obama. The line coming from the Obama camp that this chaos is a result of Bush's tax policies might be a total lie but it is unrefuted by the feeble McLame and it hits home. Who could look at that wizened piece of gristle Ted Stevens skulking away from his seven felony convictions and not have anything but contempt for a party too stupid to demand that this fossil not run for re-election when he was under indictment and on his way to his 84th birthday party? People just aren't going to vote for someone as repulsive as Stevens. When 'The Torch' Toricelli was in a similar situation in New Jersey, a state where future convicted felons make up a huge proportion of the state government and even a larger percentage of the electorate, Bill Clinton appeared to make sure 'The Torch' did the right thing and dropped off the ballot. He was replaced by a vacuous, grinning half-wit named Lautenburg (pronounced Lousy-burg). Yes Lousy-burg wears adult diapers and drools at his desk in the Senate but one of his attendants makes sure that he is a reliable vote for Harry Reid and the boys. The Republicans haven't lost their brand they've lost their way. So its asking a lot for anybody to vote voluntarily for this pack of inferior schlubs. The average air conditioning repair man knows a weak-kneed, greedy, valueless incompetent when he sees one.

Meanwhile, across the aisle here is this shiny new candidate and this party behind him that are attempting to hide their inner Stalinism behind a facade of center-left populism. They ran a convention where all the usual loudmouths were silenced and an attempt was made to appear concerned about the lives of their taxpaying helots. Those clever Democrats are confident that the Great Unwashed will continue to not notice that states whose governments are controlled by Democrats have the highest unemployment, the highest taxes and the biggest deficits. States where sales and property taxes rise as policemen and firemen are cut from the rolls as crowds of felons are handed voter registration cards and released early from prison because protecting public safety has become too expensive. The Democrats are confident that their ability to pretend to be honest moderates instead of the corrupt, glassy-eyed, Stalinist social engineers that they really are will get them through another round of elections with vast majorities in the legislature and Barak Hussein Obama happily ensconced to lead the social revolution from the White House.

But that pesky internet has changed everything. Thats where most people get their information these days. They get e-mails from their friends that direct them to clips on U-tube. U-tube has changed everything. You can see any event without any commentary from your betters in the media. Clips like Obama's little talk about redistribution on NPR get millions of hits. So did his argument with Joe The Plumber. What a message to Blue Collar America that was! We're going to take your wealth and spread it around, buddy. These blue collar types know that after the trillions of dollars that supposedly have been spent to cure poverty the poor people don't look any more prosperous than they did a generation ago and they recognize 'spreading the wealth around' as the euphemism for highway robbery that it is. Meanwhile people are U-tubing the Wright sermons and all of Barak's various statements about sharing the wealth. They're seeing Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid doing a victory dance on the corpse of the Bush Tax Cuts and thinking about just how high taxes can get...

If polls like Zogby and Gallup go into this weekend showing the gap that they show now then McCain will win the election. If Obama hasn't closed the deal by now then what the polls are showing is the very normal reticence that any normal human would feel when faced with the necessity of voting for a sawed-off, stuttering, incoherent, Wrinkly Old White Dude like McCain. I freely admit that I have the same feelings myself. Where I part ways with many people is that I'm not going to let my healthy contempt for our cross-eyed ole Maverick cause me to vote to put a slicked-up version of Leon Trotsky in the White House. I think a lot of people are going to have the same problem and they are going to end up, like me, having to face the ugly prospect of living the rest of their lives knowing that they voted to put John McCain in the White House.

I never thought I would see it. An angry crowd berates the candidate for not attacking his opponent! This limp noodle of a McLame is standing there letting the Democrats get away with the biggest governmental blunder since Mao Tse Tung's 'Great Leap Forward'. He's letting Obama walk away from the fact that he emerged from the Far Left of the Democratic Party and now is pretending to be some kind of a moderate. McLame is ignoring massive, systematic voter fraud by a radical left-wing group which has received large infusions of cash from the Obama Campaign and for which Obama worked as a community organizer!

Members of the crowd, in what was supposed to be a 'town meeting' full of sympathetic supporters demanded that McLame start getting tough with his opponents. Obama went through that entire last debate without having to answer one single question about his involvement with the people who ran Fannie and Freddie. But more important he should have to explain the underlying policy of making mortgages available to people who were formerly thought to be unqualified to get a mortgage. The Democrat line was always that these people were victims of 'redlining' and one form of discrimination or another and were kept from their 'right' to own a home by greedy bankers imposing unreasonable restrictions. It turns out the the restrictions were very reasonable and kept a crowd of vulture-like speculators at bay. As soon as the document-free 125% no down mortgages with a low two year negative amortization teaser rate appeared house values ceased making any sense and a crash became inevitable.

Has McLame missed what a big issue this is? Obama hasn't. He's got a simple, understandable explaination. The Republicans, under McLame's good buddy George Bush, removed the restrictions and allowed Greedy Wall Street Bankers to make worthless loans which they now are proceeding to sell to the taxpayers at full value. The eternal nudnik Bush can be forgiven if he sits quietly and lets himself be blamed for yet another Democratic disaster, that's who he is.
McLame is also reluctant to issue the mildest criticism of his Dem buddies. The reason Palin has made such a splash is that she has no such inhibitions. Even reigned in as she was she womped that lump of a Biden. I guess we cant expect something like that out of McLame.

But we're furious. Those people in that crowd were speaking to my heart. They should have tarred and feathered that old duffer and declared a party mutiny-- one that placed Palin in the top spot on the ticket. At least she would go down fighting. The leader that we have yearned for since the retirement of Reagan and through the long night of Bush-Clinton-Bush has arrived and unfortunately is tied to a worthless old Maverick. Fight for us, and stop sucking up to your buddies in the Senate! Obama is the most vulnerable candidate in political history.

People chide the media for bias. McLame doesn't. He doesn't ask why him and Palin will go on liberal news shows but why Obama can't do an interview with Brit Hume or Charles Krauthammer. Why there is never a conservative journalist 'moderateing' one of these phony debates. Not ask, YELL TO THE SKIES! The media will have to cover that.

He'll never do it. He doesn't have a song in his heart. Right now the polls are showing an Obama massacre. You can all believe that people are going to look past the voter fraud and forget who engineered this mortgage mess and dance to the polls to happily install the least qualified presidential candidate in American history. I don't see it. I think that the voter fraud by the ugly thugs at ACORN is the Wellstone Funeral of this election. Obama is a dishonest sleaze and I think that this election will turn on the last weekend. If McLame hits him hard enough Obama will lose big.

So now its time for McLame to lift himself out of his stubborn accomodationism and listen to the angry mob. Does he have it in him? Probably not.

When you load a new computer program on to your hard drive and then open it up it opens to what are called default settings. As you get to know the program and work with it you adjust the settings so that each time you open it it opens to your preferences. Politics works the same way. We are in a media culture where we absorb a certain amount of politics just from the ambient social noise around us. Some people then go on to read and discuss and observe and form thought out positions on various issues that fit into a political philosophy. But most people don't think much about politics. They don't see any relationship between the complicated frustrating mess that they occasionally notice when a scandal or disaster leaks into the soundbite-newsbreaks that local TV stations use to tease the eleven o'clock news. That most people dont get the connection between politics and their lives is shown by the low turnouts in local elections. These are elections where your vote really matters and who wins will have an important affect on your life. Municipal elections are the lowest turnout elections. Most of them are dominated by the public employees unions, who account for a large percentage of the votes.
But there is a great mass of people who are fairly fuzzy about the details of the political struggle who absorb their opinions by osmosis from the culture. They've gone to schools where the curriculum is skewed to the left and all those forgotten lessons are still up in that mental attic somewhere. But that programming is very thin and not based on any coherent philosophy that they believe in. A kind of mild, unthinking liberalism has become the default setting in their political psyches.
Abortion is a big part of that default setting. People now see sex between unmarried adults as equally valid and moral as that between people who are married. They don't see why a women who becomes pregnant by some mischance should end her career and live in miserable poverty, raising the baby of some creep who got her drunk one night, because some Bible-bangers have some high-falutin moral objections; especially when those objections are a mere cloak for a holier-than-thou morality that demands that everyone change their behavior to conform to it. Christianity is seen by these people as an attempt to bully and interfere in other people's lives. The political reality, that abortion was legalized by the courts and is not currently an issue in the political process, doesn't compute with this group. 'If abortion is not legal women are not equal' is very meaningful to them. The Dems have used this basic perception to garner votes for forty years.
Environmental idiocy has been pumped into people's heads for decades. Now even commercials on TV speak reverently about Global Warming. If you don't have any other knowledge of the subject the certainty which which its addressed in pop culture is very convincing. Nobody wants to raise the sea level and drown polar bears, do they? If you think that electricity comes from a plug and gasoline from a pump without being aware of the giant infrastructure behind it then Boone Pickens standing next to a windmill seems to make perfect sense. Just switch to windmills, problem solved!

Obama has unleashed doubt in their squalid self-centered little souls. No amount of vague liberalism in long-forgotten social studies classes can cancel out Rev Wright screaming "God Damn AmeriKKKa!" as the towers lay in still-smoking ruins. It was a window into a whole black racism against white people and this country that whites feel is unjustified after 40 years of affirmative action and belligerent black and liberal bullying and finger pointing. Obama has become the poster boy for that black racism that demands special treatment and reviles anyone who objects as a KKK racist. Linking Obama with his fellow 'community organizer' Al Sharpton by the Republicans at the convention probably dealt his candidacy a fatal blow.
These Default Dems like polar bears and penguins as much as the next guy, but they love driving their cars more! No amount of propellers and solar panels are going to replace the internal combustion engine in their lives and they know it. They also know that its pretty obvious the Democrats don't want to drill for oil.
Even with the 24/7 vilification of W the storyline that all of our problems are due to his conservative policies is starting to wear thin. The Dems have been in charge of Congress. In my state, California, where the Default Dems are by far the largest voting block people are starting to wonder why, with all these Democrats who dominate every level of government, services are being cut and taxes are going up.
Bush Lied on Iraq, didn't he? Then how come we won? The Democrats were very obviously wrong about Iraq. The US forces fought a long, tough war but they conducted themselves like superb professionals and after five years they whipped them towelhead savages. Unlike liberals Default Democrats don't see America as a brutal neo-colonial aggressor. They remember the fall of the Twin Towers and the constant sniping by the Dems leaves a bad taste. This is another bad problem for Obama. He was able to outpreach Clinton on this issue and the activists rewarded him for his flagrant treason, which they heartily endorsed, but the Defaulters voted 100% Clinton. Obama now trying to take credit for America's victory only increases the anxiety.
Default Democrats find Sarah Palin vaguely disturbing. Snowmobiles, dead mooses, whacko religious views; all presented in lurid excess by the media. This was the first real election event to penetrate the consciousness of people who dont follow politics. A lurid excess of liberal disdain for anyone so boorishly proletarian that backfired Big Time amongst the proletarian Defaults. The sneering mockery was aimed at a woman who on closer scrutiny was living a typical middle class life until a couple of years ago, a life that any working class person could identify with. A big, messy family with the oldest kid going to Iraq and his younger sister knocked up by some local goon at a tender age. The old man worked as a roughneck on an oil rig while Mom parlayed her PTA connections to get a seat on the city council. The condescending snobbery against Palin wiped out any misgivings people might have had about her views and set up an us-against-them situation between regular people and snobbish overeducated elites.
Default democrats will stray from the reservation. They move in a herd and can stampede in any direction. Left undisturbed they will elect Grey Davis Governor of California; spooked they will toss him out on his ear, in an election that the polls said Davis would win. Default Dems have passed Ballot Measures to limit property taxes, deny government benefits to illegal aliens, end affirmative action and are about to pass a state constitutional amendment banning Gay Marriage. These are the same people who have passed equally radically left-wing measures. Abortion was legalized in a constitutional amendment, all kinds of environmental nonsense has been enacted and funded by ballot initiatives, the Defaults flocked to the polls to devote three billion dollars to embryonic stem-cell research. As far back as 1984 Ronald Reagan and far-left senator Alan Cranston both won this state by a million votes...tthat means a million people voted for them BOTH.
This is only my gut feeling but the smoke from several approaching brushfires is visible on the horizon, the faint smell of burning grass is in the air. The herd is spooked and ready to stampede. I think they run Right. Big win for McCain.

Smart or dumb you have to admit the the Sarah Palin choice of VP nominee shows the cranky old duffer really wants to win BAD! It's an incredible risk, after all. Even though Obama picked a notorious idiot with a head full of chia-pet-looking hair plugs who has an unbroken thirty-six year record of left-wing votes, moronic miscues and tooth-filled grimaces when he is crossed at some committee hearing we're all used to Joe Biden's ineffective irrelevance. One look at Barak Obama tells you that he's not about to keel over any time soon so Biden can just spend the next four years dedicating bridges and going to funerals.
Palin is another story. She is an unabashed Social Conservative, something that has literally never been seen in a national campaign. Even hunters like Dick Cheney are usually seen in Elmer Fudd-looking twee country outfits responsibly holding their shotgun at the safe angle as they quietly stalk mallards in the canebreaks not dressed in cammo intensely aiming an M-16 at some out-of-frame menace. In my neck of the woods horrible rural rednecks who drive snowmobiles real fast through Gaia's peaceful forest spewing Global Warming-causing carbon emissions as they head home for a bowl of moose chili made from the carcass of some poor innocent critter they wasted with their laser-sighted, high-muzzle-velocity state-of-the-art rifle are the dreaded enemy. Having five, FIVE!, children is an act of appalling gaucherie, another rural affectation that shows how extreme Sarah Palin is to us urbanites. She's not Health Club healthy she's Outdoors healthy. She says a lot to NASCAR people but my youngest daughter, a true swing voter going back and forth between her default Dem leanings and her dislike of Obama and his socialism, Palin's social conservative views are a shock. But she certainly will have the same effect on born-again Christians that Obama has on blacks. She will spur a massive and enthusiastic turnout among people who were talking about staying home this time. She helps down-ticket Republican candidates in tight races.
Another thing about Palin is that, unlike the apparently healthful Obama, the Wrinkly Old White Dude (thanks Paris!) has a history of cancer and sometimes turns a bright shade of purple when he's crossed. He could go any day in a cinniption fit or be eaten by a raging melanoma. You have to seriously consider whether Palin has the grit to take on the Presidency; it's a real possibility. That is something she's going to have to prove by getting out on the stump. The enraged libs, furious that McLame has smacked them and knocked them off the stupid 'we're just like you' message that Barak's weak closing speech didn't sell, are going to hit this chick with everything but the kitchen sink. She's everything they really hate. Dickless Cheney.
To add to her list of deviltry in lib eyes is her unabashed association with and advocacy of Big Oil. Drilling gets you pregnant and solves energy crisises and Sarah Palin is obviously a drilling enthusiast. The cause of increasing our nation's production of hydrocarbons will have a sexy and effective spokesperson and that is the issue that will determine this election. Nothing else. The swing group, blue-collar working class types, love their carbon culture. This weekend, in Southern California, there's a three hundred mile line of Winnebagos, SUVs and pick ups leaving the burbs and heading out to the desert and The River (the Colorado River) towing trailers with dirt bikes, ATVs, Jet-skis and dune buggies filled with the swing voters that McLame and the boys want to get. The kind of people who want so see some ballsy babe take on a pack of sneering elitist Ivy League educated smart boys and whip their butts while she defends every American's God-Given right to internal combustion. Now all she has to do is whip their butts. I'll be watching.

Today is...let me see...Tuesday! My last couple of posts have mentioned what a weak, feeble candidate McLame is and how he will be crushed like a bug in November. But now I see that McLame has a powerful ally, one whose every word and deed are loudly praised and trumpeted by a servile media, a man considered a Saint by some, a Messiah by others. I refer, of course, to the one and only Barak Obama, Candidate Extrordinare! What, you say? How can this be? Isnt he the opponent of our confused and overaged liberal Maverick? How has he become the greatest asset of the McLame campaign?
Its very simple. When Obama ran against the detestable and repulsive Clintons he was able to successfully outmaneuver them and even paint our First Black President and Brunhilda, his lovely wife, as the ruthless, lying, phonies that they are. For a while, anyway. Until the Rev Wright stuff came up. By the time the primary campaign groaned to a merciful close a few weeks ago even the nauseating Mrs. Clinton was scoring thirty and forty point victories in key states against the beloved Torchbearer Of Change. The media portrayed this as some kind of heartfelt affinity that the blue-collar types had developed for Her Royal Thighness as she wandered about the country enveloped in an impenetrable phalanx of security and handlers, 'bumping into' people who related incredible sob stories, which on the most cursory investigation by bloggers and other non-elite scum, turned out to be a pack of bald-faced lies.
If it wasnt her glittering personality and a speaking style resembling the voice-over telescreen announcer in the movie '1984' than what was it that enabled this hopeless candidate to score forty point victories over the Obamessiah?
Racism. Not white racism, black racism. The racism that dares not speak its name. The media have never mentioned it because in their left-wing universities and hermetically sealed elite power circles black people are considered to be incapable of having racist thoughts. Its a racial stereotype that is one of the cornerstones of the liberal cathecism. So when The Man Who Brings Hope announces in advance that those crackers in the McLame campaign have their sheets at the drycleaners so they'll be sparkling white for the cross-burning racial smear campaign he KNOWS those Wascally Wepublicans are ginning up against the poor little 'Community Organizer' the media dutifully report it along with some endless soul-searching; "Has America (read, White America) cured itself of its inbred racism?" Or as Obama put it, their fear of people different than themselves.
This is the kind of smug, patronizing, elitist contempt for average people that got Obama his thirty point shellackings at the hands of the annoying and despicable Clinton Crime Family. Unfortunately for The Man Who Can there is literally no one in the Democratic Party or the Mainstream Media (same thing) who will admit this ugly truth to themselves. So when some independent 527 group emerges from the internet/talk radio soup to explode some political land mine at the very vulnerable Marxist feet of The Candidate Of Unity the answer will be as powerful as the media assault on the Swift Boaters, and as ineffective. Nothing makes people more angry than loudmouth black politicians evading scrutiny of their actions by yelling about what victims of racism they are. Nothing. And that's exactly what Obama has announced, in advance!, that he's planning to do.
So, since its Tuesday I retract my Saturday obituary for the moribund and nearly invisible McLame campaign and assert that the Obama-fest currently taking place in the media is so over the top and obnoxious and the candidate's and his party's complete lack of understanding of how regular Americans feel is so flagrant that McLame has the same political strong point that Hillary Clinton had in Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia; he's not Obama. And that might be enough to put him over the top.

Oh those McLamiacs were so smart! They did an end run around the conservatives, pretended to support a phony Baptist preacher in primaries where they werent viable and parleyed 30% 'victories' in a few winner-take-all early primaries into an improbable grab of the Republican nomination; aided, of course, by the masochists in the party leadership who seemed to be obsessed with always doing the absolute dumbest thing in every political situation. They sure fooled us stupid conservatives!
So now we're stuck with an inarticulate pseudo-Democratic 'Maverick' whose campaign already is lurching from missed opportunities to disasters and back again. This clown cant do anything right. Obama spends every day screwing up, apologizing for screwing up and screwing up again. Anybody but the most totally incompetent candidate would be on the offensive against this left-wing chucklehead and making enough noise that it would force the mainstream media's 24/7 'I Love Barak' Hosanna Chorus to at least put a footnote in each of the 'Wonderful Hopeful New Age Of St Obama' stories mentioning that McLame exists and that he has a distinct point of view. The problem is that McLame is the most totally incompetent candidate imaginable and he doesnt disagree with the Democrats on most issues. He also hasnt changed his strategy of using his liberal views to entice independents and Reagan Democrats to cross the line and vote for him. The consequence of this is that McLame wanders aimlessly from issue to issue talking away in his incomprehensible bureaucratic memo-speak while the cameras show a wizened, confused old duffer up against a vigorous young Progressive singing the song of the angels. And what song is Obama singing? 'McLame is Bush's Third Term' is the title of the song. Its simple, easy to grasp, and is repeated often. Exactly what you're supposed to do to capture the attention of the low IQ Gooney Birds who compose America's TV-lobomized electorate. Meanwhile Captain Queeg McLame pushes his walker around the country, changing themes like he changes his underwear and waiting for the stunning brilliance of his 'maverickism' to ignite an unstoppable fire in the hearts of the masses.
Now he has been handed the greatest campaign issue in the history of campaign issues. The rising price of energy is a direct result of thirty years of the Democrat's and soft-headed Republican's refusal to deal with reality by drilling for oil and building nuclear power plants. People are frightened and looking for answers. The eco-nuts have a ring through the noses of the libs in both parties and, with their doltish media allies, are leading a formerly great nation down the road to decline and poverty. The Republicans in the Senate have caught on and are starting to take on the Dems on this issue. The Dems have countered with their usual nonsense about excess profits and are walking around opposing offshore drilling by pointing to the useless tracts that have already been abandoned by the oil companies and asking why they dont drill there. The media, of course, parrots the Dem line at great length and at every opportunity. McLame has made some weak moves to indicate some hedged support for drilling in a few more places but he's still talking about Glow-Bull Warming and supporting Barbara Boxer's Cap and Trade nightmare which would gut the economy by imposing trillions of dollars in added costs and fees on an already overtaxed and overregulated economy. Worse than that, politically, is McLame's inability to stick to a single line of attack, to pound home one understandable theme that defines him as a leader, to grab the cameras with a fifteen-second, resonant, oft-repeated soundbite which heartens his followers and brings fear into the breasts of his opponents.
Now, this crippled liberal has come up against a reality that cant be explained away by anything but his own lack of competence and contempt for real Republicans; the discrepancy between the thin trickle of money he is raising and the tsunami of cash that has crested to hurl the surfboard of the Obama campaign forward. Because conservatives despise McLame for the liberal that he is his appeals to the base he has spent his life betraying have gone unanswered. He has been forced to put his campaign on welfare by accepting public money. Obama has, of course, abandoned the public system that the Dems were so hot for when the Republicans were raising most of the money and will continue to milk the internet cash cow for an endless, creamy supply of donations. Unless something really big happens this election is effectively over.

Theres been a lot of speculation about the supposedly 'swing' states that the glowing, attractive, aisle-crossing, Maverick is poised to pick up because he has so cleverly abandoned that albatross that some Republican candidates are cursed with, Conservatism. The Republican professional consultants who have alighted like corpse-flies on the already-moribund McLame campaign are spinning pretty fantasies about how the spavined horse in whom they have have placed all their pathetic hopes will burst past the finish line ahead of his eloquent, youthful opponent in a landslide! They've produced some pretty compelling charts to prove they're right...almost as compelling as the ones that prove Global Warming is man-made and about to cause a tidal wave that will reach to Indiana. The nice thing about charts like that is that they can be instantly revised when the actual facts prove you wrong. But lets ditch the charts and do a state-by-state analysis of some of the states the McLamiacs think are ready to swoon to the geriatric charms of their cranky candidate.

NH: The Dems have used same day registration with no residency requirement to completely destroy any integrity the system in this last bastion of New England conservatism might have had and now winos and schizophrenics can be lured onto buses in Boston and Hartford and driven across the border to deal with any wave of pro-McLame sentiment among actual NHers.

PA: Famed for its black districts which have a 100% turnout and which vote 100% Democratic this state should be an easy Dem win. Those so-called conservative blue-collar rural whites have lately shown their patriotism by voting for vile pieces of human garbage like Jack Murtha in return for Phat Federal Goodies and The Obamessiah will surely add a few more cars to the gravy train, easy Dem hold.

A state so politically retarded it can only go Democrat!

CO: Formerly sane but now being filled with mansion-building granola-eating elitists and refugees from high-tax states who have brought their Dem voting habits with them like Giant Flying Tiawanese Cockroaches who hitched a ride on container ships. The Dems have fertile ground to organize herds of illegal aliens to stuff the ballot boxes of Denver and Boulder. Easy Dem win.

NM:A state described by one Democratic commentator as being one "with tens of thousands of Hispanics yet to be registered." Yup, all they have to do is go across the border with some buses and round'em up. Dem win.

OH: A couple of years ago the Ohioans reacted to the Republican corruption in the state capitol by throwing the bums out and replacing them with a bunch of Democratic bums who preferred stealing from the taxpayers to embezzling from the treasury. A once-mighty state headed for Michiganess. RIP- Dem win.

VA: The Old Dominion is rapidly filling up with tax refugees from nightmare People's Republics like NJ and MD who of course are voting for the same Dems who drove them from their homes in the first place. Jim 'Mellonhead' Webb is an example of the sort of geniuses these people are attracted to. Campaigns to the Right of Reagan and votes in the Senate to the Left of Boxer.The growing and more and more increasingly registered-to-vote illegal alien and felon communities will make a difference here. A Dem win.

Yes, its election time! Gays arent as numerous as a lot of other groups who get a lot less attention but they are very politically active and an especially open-handed group when it comes to making campaign contributions. Now we are going to have to admit that the thought of John McLame 'going across the aisle' to make a play for the gay vote is enough to turn the stomach of any red-blooded American, gay or straight; McLame just doesnt have much Gay Appeal. He doesnt have much Straight Appeal. Let's face it, this mutt is just downright unappealing. Because he's appalling. But thats another post. But there is a group in the gay community who live lives of quiet desperation, unable to reveal themselves and openly announce their proclivities lest they be covered in shame and scorn and even physically assaulted. Yes, I'm talking about Gay Republicans. Some people, regardless of their sexual orientation, notice that liberalism doesnt work and generally leads to disaster. They hate high taxes, they hate overregulation, they reject social engineering schemes and plans to install central economic planning in the name of fixing the weather and generally find the whole panoply of liberalism unconvincing. They have two problems. Left wing gay activists consider any form of conservatism, no matter how thoughtful and inclusive, to put one in active cahoots with the 'God sent AIDS to punish gays' psychotics and any conservative views fill them with rage. The other problem is that the party that up until recently stood for conservative values also includes many 'God sent AIDS to punish gays' psychotics. But their problem has been solved by McLame and the current crop of Republican leaders who are enthusiastically renouncing conservatism, relieving gay conservatives of any obligation to support anyone. Just like straight conservatives. We all just need to shut up.
But thats not where the REAL action is in the gay community. Its with the Dems. Now you would think that Obama would have a natural 'leg up' with the gay community. He's tall with handsomely chiseled features. Manly. His speeches are filled with hope for the future and imply a new, happy world to come. The kind of stuff that idealists and gay activists love to hear.
Except. What do you think The Right Reverend Wright says about gays in his friendly little sermons? The truth about black politics is that while they tend to be far to the left concerning issues of governance and policy black Americans are very socially conservative. They are anti-abortion and anti-gay. Very anti-gay. Obama, almost totally unknown except for his association with The Right Reverend Wright, is linked closely to the mainstream of political thought in the black community. The anti-gay mainstream.
Which brings us to the Clints. As the quote above illustrates Miz Hilly and the gang will go to any length, say any thing, crawl as low as they need to crawl to get the nomination. I expect Bill to announce that he tried being gay once but that he didnt inhale. The Clints are also not ones to be turned off by promiscuity or kinky sex practices; Bill could campaign in the steamrooms of the most notorious urban bathhouses without batting an eye. But thats not the real reason that Clinton III has a handle on the Gay Vote. Obama is DAD, the father who rejected them and treated them with contempt; Hilly is MOM, the stern but controlling matriarch who understood. She looks down on her children and smiles.

Well, she pulled a comeback miracle out of her hat. Miz Hilly is not one to be daunted by long odds. When he was sixteen Barry Obama was reading 'Manchild In The Promised Land' and chasing girls at his posh Hawaiian private school, lots of delicious beach time; when Hilly was sixteen she was a Goldwater Girl, reading about Stonewall Jackson and plotting her next step to world domination. She really turned around and whacked Obama good in Texas and Ohio.
But where does that leave the Dems? She inspires even people like me, who despise and revile the inferior and liberal McLame, to run to the polls to vote for his aging carcass. Her winning the nomination through sheer brute force will be sending a message to black people and young people that the Old White Establishment wants to give them a choice between Old White A and Old White B, that it will be Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton for a total of twenty-eight years, or more if Jeb or Chelsea get ambitious. Some new voters have never lived in an America where a Bush or a Clinton hasnt been President. Thats what 'Change' means. Of course the Repubs have responded to this urgent need in the electorate by offering them a candidate who is as fresh as three-day-old roadkill, but this is turning out to be an election where the endless democracy and public input have produced a slate of candidates that nobody likes.
If Obama gets the nomination it will be after he has been worked over by the Clinton Crime Family Character Assassination Squad, the experts in their field. And lets face it, he is a totally empty-headed lightweight with just a wonderful oratorical talent and some sharp organizational skills but little else. I said before that finishing off the Clintons is the ultimate resume item, but it seems that he left them for dead a little too soon.
So its time for the seemingly mild-mannered Obama to drop the harmony crap and move in for the kill. Where's her tax returns? Russert handed that one to him on a silver platter and he let it slip by. They should just play Russert's question, saying that only people with something to hide wont release their tax returns and why wont you release yours? and her non-answer-- that she is 'moving toward' releasing them. She's also 'moving toward' sicking the Rottweilers at the IRS on Russert the day she takes office but thats neither here nor there. Obama should just run that bit of tape. It says everything you need to know. She's not releasing her tax returns because her and her husband have spent the last seven years influence-peddling all over the world, selling future claims on Clinton III to a long list of unsavory criminals and enemies of our country. The Chicom connection needs to be explored. Donations to the Clinton Lie-Berry and Massage Parlor, Bimbo Eruptions to suppress the suburban housewife vote.
If the Dems dont figure out some way to keep Hillary Clinton off the ticket they will risk losing, even to the crippled old duffer she will be pitted against, when their most reliable voting block, Black Americans, stays home this November. She just possibly might be unelectable under any circumstances.
